Tip #1 – Staying Refreshed
Believe it or not sitting on your computer and working can burn calories. If you are working from home, the odds are that you are going to be spending a lot of time in front of your computer. There are exceptions, of course, such as having a home business like crafting, catering etc or running a franchise business from home. But if your home based work involves spending a lot of time in front of the computer then know this, all the time that you spend thinking and brainstorming issues, you are burning up calories.
It is common to feel pangs of hunger or thirst while working and many of us use these needs as an excuse to beak away from what we are doing. Getting up to snack or drink frequently can not only break the working rhythm but can also result in a short break turning in to a longer one. The other thing that can happen is that you end up ignoring your thirst, sometimes for hours on end, resulting in you feeling dehydrated.
Don’t let either of these things happen. Keep a bottle of water near your workstation so that it is a hand’s reach away. Keep a few health energy bars in the drawers of your desk. You can even make yourself a sandwich before you sit down to work if you know for a fact that you get hungry at a certain hour while working.
The secret of working from home is to make these little changes in your focus and discipline. I hope you find this little tip helpful.
